1. We ditch the treatment log.

Many attorneys tell their clients to seek treatment wherever they want and simply note everything in a treatment log, to be provided to the attorney at the conclusion of treatment. This may seem simple and convenient, but the unpleasant truth is that most of the problems that arise from personal injury cases are related to treatment. 

 

Ideally, the attorney should work with both the client and the treatment provider to anticipate potential problems. For example, a simple letter from the attorney to a healthcare provider might keep a medical bill from being due immediately. Additionally, while the attorney may not give independent medical advice, he or she should advise the client if not following a doctor’s prescribed treatment path could adversely affect the client’s case.  

 

So we ditch the treatment log. TL Law Firm simply asks that you call our office with any new updates in treatment status and let us build and maintain the treatment log on your behalf. 2. We don’t charge more to litigate.

Many attorneys raise their fee from 33% of the recovery to as much as 40%-45% if they take your case to trial. Litigation is a lot of work, and we understand why other attorneys increase their fees, but if attorney fees increase, so does risk for you, because a bigger judgement is needed to offset the additional attorney’s fee. At TL Law Firm, our fee remains the same 33% if we take your case to court, so a bigger judgement means more money for you, not the attorney. Don’t settle for less.
